Our custom home building process is built on a deep understanding of our clients’ lifestyles and needs, the development of a shared vision for the space, and a quality construction process.
The relationships we establish with our clients are the basis for the inspiration that follows. The work is merely an outcome of what we learn along the way.
Many people ask me “Where do I start”? That’s easy. Start at the beginning – start with the land.
We’ll walk the lot together. What do you want to see when you look out the window? We’ll talk specifically about your potential floorplan, and also start learning about your lifestyle and your personality to be able to assess the impact on the home’s layout and design.
I like being welcomed home after a day at work, play, or travel. How spaces are treated allows them to be comforting or inspiring. Homes are spaces to entertain…to get away…to wrap up in a blanket…to sing to your children.
A floorplan must be able to be mentally “walked around in” long before the first shovel of dirt is turned. Understanding the nuances of space is critical in building a home that just “feels good”.
Planning for construction is about details. We pride ourselves on providing detailed estimates and an overview of the process before we get started, so you know exactly what to expect.
As a certified Energy Star™ builder, our homes meet a higher level of energy and quality standards. Homes built to these standards are tested and inspected throughout the building process by independent certified inspectors.
Highlights of an Energy Star™ home include:
- High performance, highly insulated windows with low emissivity coatings and gas-filled panes
- Advanced insulation, materials and techniques
- An energy efficient HVAC system – high SEER ratings, variable speed motors and multiple zones
- A sealed and conditioned crawl space that discourages mold
- A tightly sealed building envelope with fresh air makeup
- Compact fluorescent lighting packages and Energy Star™ rated ceiling fans and appliances
Energy efficient choices can save families about a third on their energy bill, with similar savings on greenhouse gas emissions, without sacrificing features, style or comfort.
We also offer a variety of other “green” construction materials and techniques, based on your needs and interests.
